The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation has taken the initiative to extend support measures under sanctions to information security specialists. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry in its Telegram channel.
It is planned to add OKVED 74.90.9 (information security activities) to the list of supported ones.
“Information security specialists are an important and integral part of the IT industry. We must support them on an equal basis with other specialists in the field of information technology,” the Ministry of Finance said in a statement.
Currently, the agency, together with companies engaged in the field of information security, is exploring the possibility of supporting domestic specialists in the field of information security who are able to create domestic software to replace products that have left the Russian market.
Now benefits are granted to companies with OKVED 62.01, 62.02, 62.02.1, 62.02.4, 62.03.13, 62.09, 63.11.1 subject to the following conditions: their IT activities should bring at least 90% of the total income, and the number of employees should be at least seven people.
