The Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC) has temporarily suspended certificates for software products of foreign companies, including solutions from IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Vmware, ESET, Trend Micro and others. As of March 25, 56 certificates have already been suspended.
Certificates will be terminated if companies do not resume product support within 90 days from the date of suspension of certificates.
Certification of the FSTEC of Russia is carried out to confirm the compliance of enterprise management solutions, cloud storage, analytics, cybersecurity, etc. with information security requirements for different security classes and the possibility of use in GIS, automated process control systems or at significant CII facilities.
Now state information systems and critical information infrastructure facilities will have to find a replacement for foreign systems even faster. According to the requirements of the FSTEC, the applicant must provide technical support for information security tools undergoing certification in Russia, including eliminating identified vulnerabilities.
